Hmmm...

I've got one keen cyclist, one really good project manager who is also an emergency first responder. The sort of people I employ aren't known for their publicity skills, but that's a really good idea. In the office my rule is that I will delegate everything I don't actually have to do myself (which the team rather like, I think). This is a good opportunity.

(Edited to add)

I believe that I'm riding on Saturday night with two of the Fridays' most experienced randonneurs. I think I shall pick some brains.
I hear Shane Sutton is available if you need a coach ....

The severn across and dean audax routes might be worth looking at when route planning. What about making it a race, Welsh team from Llanelli to Guildford and your Team from Guildford to Llanelli. Both using the same route should pass each other around the halfway point.

Its sane. (I'm planning something similar, but a bit shorter, so I have to say that) Go for it.

Overall average of 15kmh.

The conclusion that I've come to (and I'd be happy to be corrected) is that it would probably be best to start in the morning after a full night's sleep. This means you'll finish in the morning and your 24hr period will not be "a day". While this may take the edge off the challenge headline, it means you're minimising your sleep deprivation.

Vehicle support would mean you can keep weight to a minimum. Sounds like an adventure.

Ahem....and some loon who rode 223 miles from home to Mumbles Pier, over a fair chunk of the roads you might use.....

You can get the mileage down a fair bit (barely over 200) with some fine tuning. Not an easy ride by any means, but certainly doable.

It's having to go on to Llanelli that's the destroyer.

Yes you're mad, but as a previous client of Kent Air Ambulance, a very good cause. If you are fundraising, post the link.
Good luck

You will need good support around you. I did 214 miles last year. Started at 6am finished at about 8-30 pm.I had done a few 120 mile rides beforehand. But it was a big jump.I was 63 when I did it. Just get the miles in and enjoy. I still bragg about it.:laugh::laugh:
