I don't know about the 800, is it the same as the 500, but the 500 is very secure...just make sure rubbers are completely hooked over at both sides of the hook (if you know what I mean).

I didn't ensure this once and one of the rubbers pinged off, my fault not the bracket.

one other thing. not sure how anyone else secures theirs, but I attache the rubber bands in an X shape rather than straigt round the stem.

Its harder to do but holds the attachment more firmly

Use the same "X" shape. No problems. Been over cobbles, for skids along the road and off road. No sign of it ever coming loose!

I've nearly lost my 800 about 4 times whilst riding on the roads when it spun round but I found that if anything is touching it, it seems to get a "kick" which is enough to twist it in its mount. In my case it was almost touching my normal computer so now I have a bigger gap between the two and its sorted the problem. But I did almost loose it when I had a bad crash last year and the 800 flew out of its mount at some point, took me a while to find it in the grass verge, but I have now adorned the sides and underneath with dayglow red tape to hopefully make it easier

This one is £36 - and is 10g heavier than the SRAM!

I had one of those, it removed a little material from the lips on the back of the Garmin (they do this, K-Edge confirmed), it was just enough material to send my 3 year old Edge 500 over the edge and the mount cracked off.

I now use the Edge 810 with the Garmin out front mount (which IMO put the Garmin in a better position than the K-Edge that puts it a bit low for my liking, not as slick looking with a 500 though as you can not alter its reach)

The SRAM and Barfly mounts hold the Garmin well, but they position it above the top of the stem, not level or below, which IMO, looks a bit sloppy.
