How often do you start to reply to a thread and change your mind?

I do it. I sort of start to compose a reply and then read it and think, Nah, that's not what I want to say. So then I cancel it and then by the time I straighten my thoughts out and go back, someone's beaten me too it.

I ask because I notice quite often, when I look at Who' Online to see what the hot threads are everyone is reading, that people are allegedly composing reply's to threads and I think 'Oh, that'll be good' and wait to read it, only for it never to appear

Have done it twice this evening...it usually happens in Politics and Life, and quite often when I finish typing and realise my contribution would add nothing, isn't funny or has missed the point.

This is a result of people's inhibitions. The only way to loosen these inhibitions is to drink an amount of alcohol depending on your bodyweight and general tolerance.

usually if i start to type i finish but often someone beats me to saying something so i have to go back and cancel my quotes.

if i miss the start of a thread and it gets more than 3 pages long, i often don't read it thro coz i haven't got the patience/time
