Our CEO was a little late today; he was having difficulties cycling in the snow and carrying out a conference call at the same time.

If you worked for me and didn't make it in you better have died trying. ;)

In the old days (when I worked for BR) we had some serious snow and some of the railwaymen walked from Manningtree to Harwich to work. They reckoned it was 11 miles along the track. I can't remember whether or not they had to walk home at the end of the day.

Im ten miles from work so I haven't really got much of an excuse.

Last year I think it was I stayed at work though as the cycle ride in wasn't good. After the next shift I was Restday anyway.

TBB I doubt whether you are the only driver at your depot with problems getting in.I bet more than a few don't make it.

If you worked for me and didn't make it in you better have died trying. ;)

The trouble with that Mr Hilldodger is if me or I suspect TBB did die trying we'd both be form 1'd/claused 9'd for not turning up for work. :hello:

The hours I've wasted waiting around and travelling back and forward through snow this week, I wish I had been working from home. :surrender:

I think now as I can't sit behind a computer and work from home when the going gets tough is just leave much earlier and accept it that things like this happen.

Just have to take it on the chin. :boxing:

don't give me that. It's all right for you lot in your clogs and boiler suits, but our suede loafers and cashmere V-necks just aren't up to the job. And we're running out of flat whites!

I agree plus those whippets sort of make it easier for our northern friends.
