I haven't seen a tyre around a lamp post for a long while. Maybe it's because the new type of lamp post are much higher now,and they can't throw them that high?
I've heard trainers thrown over telephone wires tells you there are drug dealers in the area,incase you want some "wacky backy".

I never have, but I've seen it slipped into suspects back pockets very early on in my career. "Oh look, what have we here...?".

The tip round here charges £4 per car tyre for disposal. No cash, cards only, proper receipt to ensure no trousering of the readies. Which reminds me, my SIL owes me for the four tyres I took to the dump for him.
