Worn bike tyres should be disposed of by being thrown over lamp posts, with a bonus point awarded if you get it all the way down to the ground.

Much like old trainers should have their laces tied together and be thrown over telephone wires.

You could hardly walk down a street in the 70s and 80s without seeing one or the other.

I haven't seen a tyre around a lamp post for a long while. Maybe it's because the new type of lamp post are much higher now,and they can't throw them that high?
I've heard trainers thrown over telephone wires tells you there are drug dealers in the area,incase you want some "wacky backy".

The tip round here charges £4 per car tyre for disposal. No cash, cards only, proper receipt to ensure no trousering of the readies. Which reminds me, my SIL owes me for the four tyres I took to the dump for him.
