I commute in my work clothes, 13 miles a day, I'll only ride hard enough to get there in a reasonable time I wont ride that hard I arrive in a sweaty mess, I aim to have just started glowing a bit with the effort as I pull up outside of the factory, on a Sunday ride in cycle gear I'll try a bit harder and sweat up a bit.

I don't commute but I do take my bike in to work in the car and go for rides at lunch time, usually arrive back a sweaty mess. Couldn't even contemplate sitting in the office without having a shower first sometimes feels like it's raining there's so much sweat dripping down my face from my lid

Lol I blame this thread; I got it completely wrong this morning felt warm but not sweaty but when I got to work the pores opened and I looked like a dfrowned rat, 'is your jacket not water proof ? ', it is but its too waterproof! :shy: Lots of deodourant and extensive use of the hand dryer required :shy:

Unless I take it really, really easy then a sweat a lot. I see to have less or a tolerance for hot than I do for the cold.

Like others have said, take it easy for the last few miles, use antiperspirant, and start off cold (you'll soon warm up).

I you ain't sweating after a commute then you haven't been trying hard enough!
Having said that - I see too many people wearing hefty high viz jackets, even when it's mild. Overdressed cycling is going to cause undue perspiration.

Very little - I have a problem Thyroid and one of the side effects is that I sweat at well below 'normal' levels.

For this reason I stay v.warm and often chug around the mountains in v.cold conditions in just a T whilst my mate has full kit on.

My feet don't smell either - I could wear socks for a week if I wanted and they wouldn't smell.

I commute 22 miles round and always end up with a big sweat on the way in and on the way out. I always promise myself that I'm going to take it nice and easy, but it never ends up that way. In fact some rides where I think I've took it a bit easier end up being almost as fast as my "go for it rides". I dont think I've ever done a "nice strolly type run" where I just chill out and get to my destination without working up a sweat. (although my speeds might indicate otherwise  )

I have a change of clothes at work and get a shower when I get there, and one when I get home.

As the office has air conditioning theres nowhere to dry off my sweaty or rain wet kit, so I end up running it under the hand dryer in the toilet. Usually just a HH base layer thats wet/damp so only takes a few minutes. The weathers a bit changeable here in Glasgow so with the permanent threat of rain I've been cycling in a HH base layer and a DHB windproof top. I carry a gore Oxygen waterproof in my backpack, and a HH warm freeze top as a spare. I've got a pair of leggings from Aldi, but havent cycled in them yet. Not sure how comfortable they'll be but I have a short ride tomorrow night so might test them out then.

The only thing I hate is having to ride with a backpack as I tend to have a few things to take in. Waterproof, phone, wallet, home keys, work keys, work pass, gloves. In fact I'm going to rationalise things and just get the stuff in my windproof pockets. The Kindle can go for a start  There, I've said it now!!!
