Hmm, I was just thinking of changing my tyres when I came across this thread. I've done around 1,000 miles on 23mm Continentals, they've never had a p*nct*re until now, when I've had 2 in 3 days. There are no obvious signs of weakness in the tyres, but I assumed that they must be wearing out. However.....both p*nct*res were in the front, and from reading this thread, that's not the tyre that would be worn out. So have I just been unlucky, or would it be best to change the tyres just in case?

Having just changed from Specialized Armadillos to Michelin Pro2 Race I have only got praise for them. As I had never used any other tyres I really didn't realise just how much difference a tyre could make. One thing to watch though is that they are a bit skitish for the first few rides however once over that they are great. I use the 23's and have no probs comfort wise.

I put Conti Gatorskins on my commuter bike - 25c and they have done over 6000km so far with 5 p*n*t*r*s over some rough surfaces on my journey. Average speed is 27 - 30kmh and the 25s are ok - a few little nicks...they get a good look over each weekend...digging stuff out etc.
The treads are fine and they don't seem too worn at all. (I'm 105kg so they take a bit of downward 'force')

On my other bike I have Pro Race 2s - 23c - it is a lovely ride on these tyres too. I'm in the Fab & Steve club as far as these tyres are concerned.

I swapped my Kenda Contenders for 25C Schwalbe Stelvios - I like them a lot, although I'm itching to try Pro Race 2 or 3s at some point in the summer.

Like the others, I express mild disbelief that your Kendas have stayed on so long - I found mine distinctly unimpressive, and changed them out after too many u.d.e.s (although the final straw was the bead beginning to separate from the tyre on one of them).

Its because i am a master rider that the Kendas have stayed good.;) The front one does sort of concern me where the join is, i am sure it used to be thin, now its got abit wider. Just been out to feel the tyre and you can see its just in a small area, but still it has got wider. Its done 1798miles now and they are still on, got a few slight cuts in them but nothing huge. Been over alot of glass and thorns aswell.
Going to go in my LBS tomorrow and ask about Pro Race 2's or 3's to see how much they are in there.
