One of my bearings is shot.
I bought the bike in April and have done less than 1000 miles on it.
I contacted the shop where I bought the bike to see if the warranty covered it and the mechanic said no its down to wear and tear. He also added that bb30 bearings need regular replacement.
I would have thought they'd last longer than that does anyone have any experience of these bearings?

Sounds like cobblers to me. I'd think any decent BB should be good for 5000+ miles, and SRAM have a good reputation.

Not BB30. Plenty of internet stories of all sorts of troubles. They designed something that simply does not work very well.

The issues are down to alignment and it doesnt take much for them to be out being press fit rather than screwed in. This causes wear.

GXP and Hollow tech are better.

I agree but I'll probably buy some good quality bearings rather than have them put some more cheaper ones in.
Besides they won't take responsibility anyway.

Press or interference fit is fine for a Tupperware lid but it's always going to struggle in a high stress/low weight application such as a bicycle bottom bracket.

And the more times you knock it out and press in a new one, the more the thin-walled shell will wear.

If you are keeping the bike, I would look into changing to a screw fit bottom bracket.

Various options, of which Praxis is the best - according to Praxis.
