I cany really say because although im new on the bike ive always had an unusually high level of fitness/punishment i could take and enjoy every second of it. But that is a personality thing. 6 weeks. In 6 weeks you'll have a noticeable increase in performance if you are getting out and riding. Eat right and drink right. Enjoy every bit of sunshine you get too
I've not quite worked it out, but on the smallest ring (you can get it on there if you're very careful and a bit lucky) the chain doens't even look straight - but it looks fine on the the other two.
Maybe the bottom bracket is too short for a triple? A longer one would push the rings out a bit. I had a shifting problem on one of my bikes when I was unaware of the length issue and bought a short BB by mistake. It too me ages to realise what I had done.
Cycling becoming easy again - currently not very after injury! 55 miles on Monday almost ended me! Unfit, carrying too much weight, bad leg and hip and OLD!

Hmm - interesting. I think it's the chain or the rings though. And as it happens the OH has a new crankset and chain on her bike, and she rarely uses it. Maybe a sneaky swap on the cards to eliminate items
