Also I once rode a bike all the way from London to Edinburgh just to ride back again.

I'm not sure how far the Alps are from Peterborough but that's the furthest I've been for an event but as a passenger in a van. The furthest ive driven for an event is circa 190miles round for a short 10miles TT a few weeks back. I wanted to try an open on a flat course but there was nothing local and it was the end of season so I opted for the ABC B10/43, 190miles round trip for 25minutes and 20 seconds of fun :-/

Ive taken my Kickbike from Denmark to Holland for an event. Its not just to ride a bike. It is also to meet people and visit new places. We have some great times taking our bikes to places for events.

One of the Bianchi Owners Club in Australia has just posted that he drove 840km for a social ride. Another guy is flying from Brisbane to Sydney for the same ride. It looks different if you live in a big country. A Canadian woman who worked for me a while ago thought nothing of a hundred mile drive to the cinema - in Canada of course!

I drove from Puglia in Italy to the UK for the Hadrian's Wall ride this summer. About 2400km.

To be fair, I needed to do some other stuff while in England so I killed several birds with one stone.
