The ingredient of a shampoo, which amused me cos It put me in mind of a chap's name. (Similarly "Stefan Trousers" which is the name of a Craghopper's product"

Tall and well upholstered.
None of that means anything to me.

Blimey. From the neck down I looked like this chap, Ivan Drago, and I boxed (badly) in the army too. Hence the comedy geniuses of 1RGJ christened me after him.

Mine came over from C+ too. When I set it up, I'd just got my first road bike a Bianchi. Growing up my Dad was often saying, Scream Like a Banshee. So I mixed it to Scream Like a Bianchi. Then I shortened it to initials SLaB. Which didn't sound me so I changed the Scream to a Howl, HLaB. Somewhere I forget where, as I no longer ride a Bianchi, in memory of the section of Bowel I lost to Bowel Cancer I put Half Lance Armstrong's Bowel. I'm a little annoyed the only cycling LA thing I could come up with was that EPO fuelled eejit, but I reckoned Half and Bowel neutralised the EPO!

First post on here was about somebody wanting to drill out a rear brake bridge to accept a sleeve nut fixing, I pointed out that would seriously weaken the bridge and suggested my method of using a front brake caliper on the rear (longer bolt) and a nylock nut, It was on a Raleigh hence raleighnut plus I'm quite partial to Raleigh bikes currently owning 4 (5 if I count the Carlton) and having had 2 stolen.

First ever Forum I joined on tinternet was a Ducati owners group. I owned a 748. Every username using those numbers I wanted….was already used.

So I spelled out the Ducati model name in letters - changing the ‘eight’ to ‘ate’ - as I’m true foody 😎

Hence: seven-four-ate……………..which I’ve just carried on using on every forum I’ve joined since.

Used to ride with a guy named Hans, we were seen at the local vintage motorcycle events together often enough that some people thought we were family. Hans und Fritz Katzenjammer, after the cartoon trouble makers, wasn’t much of a stretch as we were constantly getting into stupid stuff with motorcycles, bicycles and cars. Minor stuff really, drifting a 72 Mercedes SL ( it had a V8 and a stick, how could I resist…) 150 in a 60 zone on the bikes, drunken folding bike races on a back road, pulling over a buddy in a 48 MG on my 53 Triumph army bike with an MP helmet on. ( freaked his wife out, she though I really was a military cop ) you know… kids stuff.

Hans now has a bad heart and can’t carry his own groceries, but Fritz still gets in trouble a bit.

I'm sure this one's been done in the past but I was watching Rick and Morty for the umpteenth time today and noticed a character called Beebo, I do hope that our @Beebo named himself in honour of said cartoon character.

Mine is my work log in which I was using when I first found the Cycling Plus forum.

It was CP that we all did the big flounce from when it became Bikeradar wasn't it, it's that long ago I can't remember?

Nope. Just a boring nick name I’ve had for years. Pre dates Rick and Morty.

Apart from not being blond, Russian, a terrible actor, or having killed Apollo Creed, I'm a very close resemblance to Ivan Drago. Similar height and build.

I think you might've explained it before, somewhere along the line, 🤔 but I seriously did not know where your name came from. Now I know! :okay:

I joined CC in 2012, when I was still cycling, hence the 'cyclist' in my user name. I come from a small town 3 to 4 miles from Accrington town centre, depending on if you walk, cycle or drive there. I use the name Accy Cyclist as Accrington is more well known than Great Harwood where I've lived all my life and 'Accy' is used around here as Accrington takes too long to say. My avatar is a photo taken at an Accrington Stanley FC home game about mmm, must be 17/18 years ago.🧐
