The sun is shining and I decided this morning to go out for a road ride. Had an early breakfast and was just checking the tyre pressures etc. Anyhow, my wife said, could you just quickly run the hoover over the house. Yep, no prob's, so done that and I was feeling a little guilty for wanting to go out for 4 hours. So, earning a few gold stars can't go a miss. Then she asks me to wax the woodwork etc, then clean the kitchen surfaces!! I'm all in!!!

Are you sure it wasn't "wax the woodwork" and "clear the kitchen surfaces".

Yeah, tables and chairs, that Mr Sheen stuff etc.....all fine antiques etc

That'll be the mistake then, If you didn't have fine antique furniture, it wouldn't need waxing, you could go for longer bikerides and not feel guilty!
