I would not just 'think' about doing things. I would get on and do it. I could not sleep at night thinking there may be a glimmer of a chance I could lose my home.

The fact that a child who is old enough to run a property business was still living at home would also concern me.

It sounds like you have trust issues with your son and I am sorry you are in that position. I hope you sort it out.

I have done that as it is free of charge. I also receive a six month notification that nothing has changed.

Yes, I do the same.

+1 to this. I've also done it on my father's address as he's elderly and wouldn't note such things.

If your son has a property business couldn't he move into one of them? There's clearly concerns here from your perspective.

Issues can happen. My brother-in-law found out that his wife had taken out loans for her company against their joint property, without telling him, only when the bailiffs arrived. She's now his ex-wife.

You need to contact the land registry and ask them and if you even think your son could do this then theres major issues with him that need to be addressed. People do things like this all the time sadly. I hope all turns out well for you.
Has he been in trouble before for fraud or anything criminal?

An extra thing you can do is register with the land registry (it's free) to give you alerts on any attempted changes to the deeds.

Edit: Register!
I've had this alert set up for many years and receive a six-monthly report.

@kingrollo that you have to ask the question of your and in here suggests there are major issues to be addressed. It would appear you have reason(s) not to trust him. To my mind this is a very big issue.
