Honey test

I've extended my weekday daily spins this week (from 20 miles to 25) and been experimenting with honey as an extra energy source, along with my usual bundle of fig rolls and breakfast bars. I bought a small, squeezable bottle of it, which is easy to carry and easy to slurp from. Seems to be working - certainly tastes delicious.

Hope you have a good dentist as Honey will mess your teeth up if you use it regularly,

As a beekeeper I use it over gels all the time. One of the reasons it works so well is because it is already digested. With processed sugars you still have to do some digesting yourself but honey simply gets absorbed. Even if I am not riding I have a spoonful of honey every day. But, I do find that some (usually my second harvest) gives me a bit of a sore throat so I make sure I take a drink with it. After analysis with a microscope, it's possible that it's privet that is the culprit.

Gels are gonna ruin teeth too, just taste rubbish.
