Has anybody ever overdosed on homeopathic medicine?
It gets stronger the more it's diluted, so it must be those of us who don't take any of it at all who are getting the overdose.

Yes. Leah Betts.

Not strictly true. Cause of death was apparently water intoxication leading to hyponatraemia (reduction in blood electrolyte levels), swelling of the brain and coma. Advice to clubbers was to drink plenty of liquid to avoid dehydration more so if taking such drugs as ecstasy which could result in all night dancing or activity. The dose, strength and purity of such drugs is unregulated leading to unpredictable results, and can affect urine output amongst other things. It would be hard therefore to describe Ecstasy or MDMA as a "Homeopathic" anything when the whole premise of Homeopathy is dilution to unmeasureable degrees and the effect of mysterious vibrations.

Put a few of them into a pot. Add some ibuprofen of the same quantity. Mix. Close eyes and stick your hand in the pot, grab one or two and ingest. Now you won't know which ones you took. If you get better, it means you took that one. And if you don't get better, it means you took that one. So there you go.:becool:

Imagine Homoeopathy is considered pseudo science. Yet there are homoeopathy products that do not have a single molecule of the herb that is on the label. It's not even adulterated.

There are several naturally occuring medicines in nature. My extended family are some of the most anti-mumbo jumbo sceptical people I know, but all have had great success with homeopaths. Why not just take them and see if they work?

Or so they say. From your musings, they'd lie through the teeth if they didn't work and tell you they did.

TBH some do work well.

I was referring to what was effectively an overdose on water, i.e. homeopathic medicine. I am aware that ecstacy and MDMA have actual active ingredients present in them and cannot be described as homeopathic.
