Homeopathic meds

Just shelled out £8.50 odd on some pills for sinusitis (meds are expensive in France). Opened the box and looked at the notice - they're homeopathic. Doesn't say that on the box. They didn't say that in the chemist.

Time to break out the ibuprofen.

If you had missed the notice inside the box, they would probably have worked well as a placebo. If the pharmacist had doubled the price, they would have been even more effective.

I'm thinking of alternative uses for them... leave them outside for the lizards to play Frisbee with maybe.

Pass them on as a treatment for jambes lourdes (heavy legs), a medical condition known only in France, but apparently one of the most popular complaints for which to buy OTC medications in that country. After all, an imaginary treatment must be the ideal medication for an imaginary ailment.

There are several naturally occuring medicines in nature. My extended family are some of the most anti-mumbo jumbo sceptical people I know, but all have had great success with homeopaths. Why not just take them and see if they work?

I am doing. Might as well. I might even put some tiny little droplets of jam on the next intake. I like jam. Though I think the apricot jam we have might not lend itself to the task. Might have to rethink my plan.

If that's the case, why don't homeopathic types cut all their pills into tenths to save a bob or two?
