A couple in the village, on turning 65, traded in their very acceptable bikes - hers a Dawes Galaxy - for matching e-bikes. It's noticeable how much their pedalling has appeared to decrease over time. Maybe I'll go for one in the future, but are any available that look like road bikes?

If you use the right conversion kit you could end up with something like this

I see several on my commute daily, both regulated and non regulated. They are ridden by various ages but just because someone is young it doesn't mean they are fit and healthy, I'd rather they were on an electric bike than in a car, as that means fewer cars on the road and more understanding of what it is like to be on a bike.
