^^^^Very nice ! We’re in Tenerife in a couple of weeks. Hope we’re blessed with the same weather looks like you had. Infact ‘doing all the T’s’ this year. With Turkey in June and Tiawan in September.

Been there we had a very large factory making fancy electronics. Required huge numbers of pretty girls I recall
Also a lot of management attention

As detailed elsewhere - we are off to Italy on a coach in September

can;t really go before because of "The Wedding" which we seem to have to go to (it is her son after all!!!)

and in summer it will be too hot - I'm fine but not SWMBO nowadays

looks like we are giving the small boat cruise in Scotland a miss for this year
probably have another go next year

Maybe so ! And while money and health are on my side I’m grabbing 3-5 decent foreign jaunts a year. I’m no pioneer. But I do love seeing new places / doing new things…..

We always had an armed escort.
Remember the car park attendant had a mean dog and sawn off shotgun.
First visit you got introduced to the dog. Guard assured me that after that I was OK. Never got tested.

Have lots of money for meals etc!!
Bring binoculars, camera/decent phone, strong suncream, swim things etc.
Warmer clothes if going into higher elevations

this year is Scratby , as we still have kids we are stuck to school holiday times so the most expensive time and we dont have passports either.
My favourite place to go on hols have now introduced a minimum payment of 25% of the balance rather then the ability to pay monthly either by DD or phone call like we used to do which is a pain as a week in august for 4 is around £1200 just for a caravan.

A week/10 day Loire river jaunt, something I've been meaning to do for yonks. It's 2 day ride up to the Loire (Blois sort of area) from home then I'll follow the river around to Nevers then home. I'm allowing 10 days but there's a possibility that I'll trundle down the Loire-a-velo path more quickly.
