Definitely now I look at it, the length of chain as it comes off the freewheel is too much. Good spot @midlife

So have swung rear mechanism around the right way .

And on the small cog it looks to short and on the big gear its not got enough tension .

So I guess the tension spring is week so will swap rear mechanism over.

I tried re tensioning the return spring to no avail so swapped it for a 105 one and hey presto we have all 12 gears operational and i treated it to a new chain as well , so can carry on doing so me test miles on it 2moro

Another whole 9 miles today with all 12 gears operational

Time to crack some miles on it and enjoy it along the way

Just completed 24 miles this morning on this machine and all I can say is roll on the next couple of hundred .

i do try and use Selle Smp saddle where ever poss , hence why i have 5 of them and really rate them

Aero fad . Just think of the drag caused by the downturn shifters on the side
