Hope the price reduction kicks in before the end of the year when I'm likely to be getting N+1 ^_^ I wonder how much of a frame cost is materials & how much of it is labour? Probably not going to make mega bucks savings on a bike, but fingers crossed :okay:

I'm guessing that would be fairly easy to work out by looking at the cost of identical frames in steel and ti - for instance, a steel equilibrium 725 frame is about 500 while the same in ti is 2 grand?

Maybe I'll be able to afford a ti bike after all!

"Porton Down has revolutionised the production of titanium"

There is evidence that the Russians are using military grade Titanium.

A very common element titanium. Aluminum was a costly precious metal when it was being made in laboratory conditions, but when mass production became feasible, it became inexpensive.
