Doing the London Bikeathon this year and just ordered my Jersey as I have raised over £100. Never had a jersey before so just hope I have chosen the right size, don't want it flapping about but also would quite like to move! ^_^

I suppose that would help! I ordered an XL I am 19st and wear XL gym tops on the bike at the moment.

Weight isn't an indicator of size, but I'm 16 stone and wear an XL. You might need a larger one.

This ISN'T me, BTW!

@Steppylud , I think you are right on the cusp between 1xl and 2xl, dependent on the jersey maker. One makers version of XL may be a 2XL in another. In that 19-20 stone range myself, and 6'4"

I think it all comes down to how you feel and is it comfortable and can you breathe/move, I've recently only got my first Jersey & Shorts, I normally wear a size Large T-shirt so I thought it would be best I went into decathlon to try them on first, I'm 13.10 stone and 5'11, I felt the XL in both shorts and jersey fitted best for me, not too tight but not too loose, good fit on the shorts though. Had a look at Muddyfox gear and it seemed to be a bigger size than the decathlon stuff, a large for them for me probably so I guess it depends on the brand too.

It really just depends on the manufacturer, to be honest. Thinking about the pile of jersies in my wardrobe, there are some which are labelled XL (dhb, Altura), some 2XL (Owayo) and even one 4XL (Giordana). All fit my 5'11", 16st frame pretty similarly.

As Dibdib says, depends on the manufacturer. I have one that's a large from a certain bike hire place in Mallorca, a 2xL jersey from wiggle, and I've just had to send back a 2XL jersey to Prendas.....

It's a mine field!
