I started cycling back in 2015, mostly for commuting. My first bike was a simple flat-bar hybrid, nothing fancy—just something to get me around the city. At the time, I was living in Chicago, and my usual route took me along the Lakefront Trail.

In 2018, I decided to take things up a notch and got myself a Trek Domane. That’s when I really got into road cycling—weekend rides with friends became my new favorite thing.

This year, I upgraded to a Scott Addict RC, and I’m hoping to convince my wife to ride more with me. She enjoys cycling but isn't too keen on long, fast rides, so I’m exploring ways to make the experience more fun for both of us.
Maybe an e-road bike for her? Still debating that one:bicycle:

She won’t be doing long fast rides on an Ebike, given they have limited range and speed.
