I had a minor shock today when Amazon UK refused to allow me to send something to a friend in the EU. Can I still buy stuff on my credit/debit card on Amazon UK and get in delivered to the EU? If not, is there a way round my First World Problem?

EDIT: Is this Amazon policy, or is it specific to the individual Amazon vendor?
Thanks.

You should just be able to switch to the local Amazon for where your friend lives. If it's a Vendor rather than the main company itself , then this won't work though because the vendor needs to have a physical presence in the EU.

My parents for example, can easily use the .de suffix in the URL, rather than .co.uk when they want to buy something for my kids for their birthdays, but only from Amazon Germany or a German vendor on the website.
