They did "Balance Wheels", costing more than most of the bikes they were meant for!

According to the 1955 price catalogue on the VCC website, the balance wheels cost 18 shillings. The Ranger cost £11 19s 6d

Oh, and the graphics are on the seat tube, not the down tube...
