Just in case someone recognises themselves.

I was riding home last night 07.06.2016) (Filton Bristol to Clevedon) and after an exploding chain and lots of stopping at lights, I had lost the will to carry on and was just plodding along.

I came to a junction in Nailsea where I saw three riders coming along the main road. They looked in the flow so I waited until they were past before pulling out. Seeing them set a good pace made me get my arse in gear and I caught them up on the hill coming out of Nailsea to Tickenham. Following them for a short while I was pleased to have the help of their efforts. I took the front for a short while as I felt guilty I was sitting on the back. As we got into Clevedon they turned off towards the Clevedon marshes while I carried on for home. We exchanged pleasantries and I am grateful for their assistance on my last four miles.

The group was three people, two men and one woman. If you are one of those, peeps, thank you. Your efforts and motivation made me stop feeling sorry for myself and actually get a move on. A good pace and I was just able to keep up.

James (Black Carrera, high vis, blue shorts).

They were probably just trying to get away from your high-viz jacket in case any of their pals saw them.
