correct me if I am wrong but if the frame was disc specific wouldn't the rear spacing be 135mm requiring at least a different back wheel?

I found some shimano rx31 which not sure they now fit

Just checked it and it is indeed 135OLD mmmm no deal then

But maybe they do it seems the rear wheel has a 135mm drop out.

I think but please don't quote me but most rear disc hubs are 135mm spacing as this is what mountain bikes use no need to reinvent the wheel eh?

being hydraulic they will be self adjusting and easier to live with.

You pull the lever, it pulls the cable, the brake closes on the disc. I've mixed and matched countless brake levers and calipers and never had an issue, despite all this compatibility nonsense the manufacturers spout to get us to stick to their products.

I meant with hydraulic ones or is it the entire jig just a con? (I know hydraulics should in principle brake better)
