Help need with new forks

You're welcome to buy one for her ironically her previous bike came with front racks but was a flat bar one and she eventually wanted a drop bar one.

Some how I see my bike being very heavy.

I have looked at them but I am wary about clamping round the forks, given they are carbon.

Currently looking at some replacement forks but I am having trouble getting my head round headsets

Sorry Toffee, i read it that all the weight was transfered to the skewer but yeah those fork clamps look load bearing to me
