My helmet is a Giro..........quite a few years old and with standard straight strips of padding inside.
As they have virtually worn out they need replacing.
The problem is..................PRICE
I can get them on ebay for approx £6.00 WITH £5.00 postage.
or Wiggle etc. at similar price plus postage.
My thinking is.........I can get a brand new helmet (with spare pads) for less than £30.00.
Surely...........for something so simple I can get them from somewhere for a couple of quid ??

Helmet quite a few years old, in my book replace the helmet or not bother with one at all.

Providing that you have a current helmet your LBS should be able to order ... saving you the postage

Some may even have them in stock for the more popular models

Unfortunately the £5 - £6 is about standard

How old is the helmet? You should probably be replacing it every 3-4 years regardless, I'd take the strips as having worn out as it being time for a new helmet  so it might be time for a new one anyhow

I seem to think most helmets come with spares anyhow, I'm sure my Giro indicator did

Confession time.............
It did come with spares. Some months ago I was having a general clear out........came across them and thought (you guessed it)........."I will never need these" and binned them:blush:

How old is it? Really if it's looking worn have a close examination of the plastic and polystyrene. If there's any wear, new helmet time
