It was nice talking to you as well. The road from Oake to Nynhead has got a few nasty little hills so don't worry about having rubbery legs.... My legs were not far from a rubber state at that point anyway!!!

I tend to get Hello's back from most folk when cycling with my bubbas, but it only seesm to be the 'older' cyclists that respond when i'm on my own, most of the younger brigade probaly just think i'm a bit barmy saying hello to a complete stranger!

I too find the older, bearded type with Carradice baggage and clipped trousers the friendliest - no, I'm not one of them.

A lot of racing types are pretty friendly too if they're not in their zone.

I agree when I've said hello to young ones, they're just not interested. I think that's reflective of our society as a whole though. They're too into their electronic gadgets and games and less into old school conversing.

Yep it has to be said I often get no reply from 'fellow' cyclists & say hello to folk more than other folk saying hello to me.

I used to think I was out of their league seeing as how they were mounted on an expensive sportive racer type, wearing all the latest gear. I suppose pulled up next to my ever-faithful 3 gear, all weather, I've seen more rides than you've had hot dinners mate, all terrain (except mountains lol) they might have been embarrassed in case anyone though we actually knew each other.

P.S. I'm over that insecurity now.........
