Hello from the South Wales valleys!

There's a lovely circular route via the canal. Take the Heads of the Valleys cycle route (NCN 46) east from Tredegar, including the stunning hillside section through Clydach Gorge. Drop down to the canal at Govilon and continue along it to Llangynidr. Here, turn up the tiny minor road up Cwm Crawnon, until almost the end, then head up on a short, steep track through the forestry plantation to another minor road in a quarry area at the top. Turn left and head back through Trefil to Tredegar. About 30 miles in all. Enjoy.
