Hi Rob

I have shoulder issues (minor compared to yours) and I have found a recumbent the way to go. They are harder to pedal uphill but you live in the flat bit of Lincolnshire! Mine is a two-wheeler but as you see from jonny's pic a trike is a great bet for stability - search this forum for people talking about the fun they're having on them - @numbnuts has just got one and is thrilled.

@mickle who suggests you get in touch with him is a specialist in bikes for people with disabilities so you can send him a personal message.

Also there is a recumbent specialist in Ely which might not be too far for you to go and have a few test rides.

I love my 'bent, it is sooooo comfortable. People also notice you more on the road and the consensus seems to be that motorists are more careful around you.
