I'm on holiday in France, and the place we are staying at has a bunch of old French bikes available for use. There are a couple that have 'helium' branding. I can't find anything about them online. Does anybody know anything? Are they Peugeot by another name?

I have a feeling they were made by Peugeot, they must be pretty old though 80-90's?

How about this link?

Edit: Apologies, I posted the above link without realising this was the classic and vintage forum. So not much help to the OP. I’ll quietly remove myself and return to general cycling discussions.

Helium was a Peugeot brand, can’t remember exactly why/how it was pitched differently, perhaps budget line or as a utility/town line but they’re definitely Peugeot made and many of the ones I’ve see have actually been dual badged and branded.

Yep. There's Peugeot branding on there. Lovely solid feel to the bike.
