Heated insoles ?

After going out today with my Woolie Boolies on, Shimano winter boots and neoprene overshoes and coming back with my feet in agony on what wasn't the coldest day we are going to face, I am in desperate need of my next fix for cold feet. I have seen Sportpursuit have Happy Hot feet for about £45. Has anyone tried either this or any other heated insole they can recommend ?
I have tried the chemical disposable pads but they don't really help. Any suggestions more than gratefully received.

i went out today, regards my feet, I had thermal socks, shimano shoes and neoprene overshoes.............my feet were really toastie, not even a hint of cold.
@Kbrook Do you suffer with cold feet as a rule, do you have any issues with blood circulation?

edit; what shorts / tights did you wear , I was wearing padded shorts, leg warmers and windproof cycling trousers over them, I believe if your legs get cold then it will transfer to your feet.

Steve, yes I do have circulation problems but today my hands were nice and warm. I was wearing a winter jacket and roubaix bib tights, everything apart from my feet were OK.

Tin foil around your feet might help, less sweaty than a polythene bag.

The tighter you jam your feet into a less ventilated space, the more uncomfortable they will become. Been there, done that. Try different combinations involving only one or two of your current three measures.

Might be what you're looking for? Like Citius said though, you won't feel warm with too many layers packed into not enough space.

Northwave Celcius/Fahrenheit - buy a size too big and wear loosish thermal socks. That's my solution

The problem is that you have a mainly immobile foot being dragged through cold air. Since the foot is immobile, the muscles aren't demanding blood, reducing circulation. Your legs, arms and core demand that blood, causing your feet to get cold. No matter how many layers you strap around your feet, unless they're already warming the trapped air, you'll never get warm feet. So that isn't your solution.

Instead, loosen your shoes, get socks that aren't skin tight and keep your feet moving. Get out of the saddle, make your feet work, wriggle your toes, unclip and swing your legs to increase blood flow.

Or buy some heated insoles.

Make sure they are warm and activated before you put them in. They don't last for more than a couple of hours though.

As above, keep feet moving. Don't put on loads of tight layers. Silk under socks are good, IMO, as they trap air but aren't bulky or restrictive.

But, sadly, the best advice I have is: just get used to it. Say bye bye to your tootsies and warm them up gently when you get home.

Llidl have thermal socks just now, worn with a slightly too large shoe they make for very cosy feet.
