Thank you again, Telegraph, for reminding me that cycling is just for men.

I'm surprised that that article isn't entitled, 'How you can ask for flexible working, and why you shouldn't' :stop:
No, that would be telegraph.co.uk/men/work/how-to-ask-for-flexible-working/. Women would be asked "why do you hate your children?"

Don't worry I enjoyed the article. It didn't mention where the traditional consumption of beer comes into things though; don't tell me it's a marginal gain victim.

The science reckons that you drink a pint and pixx a gallon so you should be ok on the other hand 'they' also say that there is a loaf of bread in every pint but is that was right there would be no room for the beer. So keep drinking and leave the science to me ^_^

I have nothing to add, but I am going to have to block this thread...chance of struggling to maintain my weight would be a fine thing!

Lol. Sorry. I do hate the Telegraph, and try not to visit it. However that article was really good, and had me licking my lips - I'm going to quote it on another thread.

I only kept going with it because the OP joined in. Otherwise would have left it at one remark. Which was not against you, but because I was annoyed - again - by the stupid telegraphs URLs for cycling.

(on a long - for me - ride yesterday, I ordered what took my fancy at two stops. I have a real problem eating on long ride. I nearly threw up the quite delicious bacon/sausage/egg bap at the first stop, and did have a wee spit of the eggs Benedict after the second stop. No one offered me baked salmon, or risotto with beetroot.)
