I use my headlight on it's lowest setting to read in bed...

I found that I could get oncoming drivers who were dazzling me, to dip their lights by looking up and shining my head torch directly at them, then 'flicking' the beam down to my nearside. Every single driver took the hint within 2 or 3 flicks!
Been out this evening armed with my portable lighthouse, it worked a treat. 3out of four high beam knackers dipped after a dose of head torch fission.
Thanks for the advice everyone, my torch is now an integral part of winter cycling kit.

I've fixed a little flashing Moon Gem 1 to my helmet to supplement the Moon XP300 on the bike, but I'm missing having the Alpkit headtorch which is so useful for going around bends ! Will start using it again soon.

I was hoping for a positive response and so far, it's looking good.
My torch is a Petzl Tikka plus and will be were useful for reminding drivers that cyclists can be dazzled too, thanks for that tip ColinJ
I use one of these in addition to good bike mounted lights for reasons outlined elsewhere here. It works a treat. Be careful in a group though or with other cyclists cos its easy to blind them temporarily at close range. Flashing mode is good on busy city streets.
