I think the tax issue is red herring - but realistically you do need an address. Your bank will require you to have one for a start, as will your doctor (though technically once you have been out of the UK for 90 days they can cross you off). We have worked several seasonal jobs alongside "van-dwellers" and they have all said they have had to have a registered address, at relatives etc.

Usually in order to pay UK taxation rates which maybe cheaper than where he/she is going and also to avoid the whole issue of double taxation especially if there is no treaty agreement in place. For tax purposes you can say you are non domiciled in the foreign country. In other words pull a Rishy type stunt. 😂😂
DTAs may be a consideration if the OP was working, but he says he is touring. If he were to do casual work whilst abroad, a DTA agreement may be relevant, but depending upon the country/ies visited, chances are any casual work is unlikely to trouble a DTA.
