This thread is a repository of statistics. I wrote a program for scanning it and extracting the scores. If I find time I will run it to find the easiest and hardest words (according to CC)

That's why I don't like Hard Mode. It often becomes no more than a guessing game with no strategy options.

The reason I do like Hard Mode is because I'm lazy. It prevents sloppy mistakes. If I don't use that mode then it's easy to forget a piece of info that you already have. Hard Mode stops this by saying "No ... are you forgetting that you already know position 5 is a Q and 4 is an X".
