As per chess, to give up material in order to achieve a different or larger goal. In this instance I used a guess that wasn’t going to reveal the word as I used none of the letters that I’d already found. I sacrificed a turn/word knowing it would not solve the puzzle in order reveal/eliminate letters and further my aims of solving this little puzzle.

I've never played chess, but from what I've heard it's a bit more involved that Wordle. Just a bit, mind.
