I have stopped, as of today. I am on 50 unbeaten so time to call it a day.Another 4. I think Iβm starting to get a bit bored with it now for some reason.

Just quoting this as evidence in case you start backslidingI have stopped, as of today. I am on 50 unbeaten so time to call it a day.
A tricky 5 is often more rewarding than an easy 3.
Iβm sure NY times have seen a drop off in users.

The bigger question is have the NYT spaffed $1million up the wall?A lot of this about.
Has Wordle LEAPT ABOVE the SHARK?
I think this is quite likely. It's a nice puzzle, a brilliant idea but I know I'm only doing it to keep my run going. It's easily solved in 2-3 minutes and 3-4 lines with the right starter words. The bigger question is have the NYT spaffed $1million up the wall?
Using the approach I take it generally comes out in 4 about half of the time, the rest being roughly evenly split between threes and fives. Twos and sixes do happen but rather infrequently.I think this is quite likely. It's a nice puzzle, a brilliant idea but I know I'm only doing it to keep my run going. One morning when I was especially bored I worked out my starter word gives me at least 35 potential positives and my follow up gives 44. My maths is nowhere near good enough to calculate how many combinations that gives. A result in 3-4 lines is very likely except for the odd occasion we get thrown a curve ball.
