I've reached the conclusion "hard" mode is easier in the sense it forces one to only consider the remaining letter patterns which fit the established letters. Without it I doubt I'd have made the choice I did for line four.

I'm on a run of 3 3's for Wordle and 3 hole in ones for Worldle (to be fair they were all pretty recognisable - Iceland, Ukraine and today's one)

For some reason I was convinced my hunch at guess three was going to nail it. It didn't, and it wasn't a clever word to choose for elimination purposes. Back to a humdrum four.

Without wishing to ruin the joke by taking it too seriously I have been wondering if the streak was counted in days, or attempts. As it is, mine was ruined early on by the great CycleChat reply button debacle of early 2022 so I pay it no mind.

I don't really bother either as I think I did a couple on the big computer and the rest on the iPad so they were saved separately.

I enjoy them, but certainly wouldn't be getting upset if I missed a day.

I don’t take it too seriously but I literally couldn’t live with the shame if I missed a day or - whisper it - failed. I’d have to totally withdraw from polite society.

This is my greatest Wordle fear. Not that I fail to get the word, it happens. But that I'm too drunk or asleep or, perish the thought, actually cycling and I forget to do it.
