after all - if it isn;t recognised as a word then you don't loose the go

and it worked

Apparently a lot of people get it right first time and publish it as such
Problem is that to do this they MUST be cheating - either getting if after 5 then starting again and just putting the right word in

or - more likely - just googling todays result

which is all rather pathetic

Mine wasn't a cheat as such, it was an educated (but very lucky) guess based on posts from here.

fair enough - especially as quite a few people were annoyed about the American spelling - which gives an obvious starting point!

I got todays on the second line. The first line was a good guess which gave me 3 correct letters in the correct places. After that, there was not much that would fit in.

You just need some luck.

I have been doing it a week and have not been beaten yet.

Is there a way you can see the answer, if you do not get it?

It appears on screen after you hit enter on the 6th line (in a black box?). Unless you're right when it says something like ''good'' or ''splendid''. I think that the word depends on how many lines you've used up.
