Problem was that there were lots of different possibilities for the first letter, and something mysterious but very, very nasty would happen to me if I got it wrong. I chose one of the words in my first line above....

I may have misinterpreted the rules, but pretty sure you guess the word that the game has set, rather than will it to be a different word and just keep guessing your word and hope the answer changes?
Gentle ribbing aside, I assume you were on the "agora" version yesterday, I'm happy mine was "aroma" a much more recognisable word, i might have had my first failure with agora.
