I was suffering a bit today, my speed was down, my thighs and calves were long in warming up and felt a bit tight. I think it was the headwind yesterday afternoon where by I tried to keep above my average speed regardless.

I'm looking forward to the 4 Days off to tell you the truth, I don't plan on cycling anywhere and will mostly be playing Xbox, eating chocolate with my boy and cathing up on some unwatched movies.

I'm glad I decided on a rest day today. The wind was horrendous this morning. Tomorrow looks nice so I might go for a little pootle then. I have promised Mr Plax I'd spend the whole weekend with him and not wander off so I don't know how I'm going to wangle that one yet though........ Maybe I'll feed him a big dinner and wait for him to fall asleep in the chair so I can sneak out .

4 mins faster this morning between home and railway station (20 mins rather than 24) - the only difference was that I persevered in a higher gear, even though it pushed my cadence right down. I generally try to keep my cadence at about 80. I thought it was generally better to keep cadence high - hrm...

If your knees are knackered grinding can only make them worst, it puts more strain on the joints...

The last couple of days have been glorious, albeit still a slight wind. Had a little pootle yesterday and did excellent time. Today Mr Plax had to work a couple of hrs so I took the opportunity to sneak off again. Not quite so fast this time, but it was a lush ride. If only every day could be so nice! You watch come Tuesday it's going to be gale force winds and torrential rain to mark the first day back at work.
