The older I get, the faster I used to be ...
Back from the annual club NYD 1km time trial - 4 seconds faster than last year and not the slowest - so I'm happy with that!

We'll probably go out for a 10 mile potter. A few years ago we went out for a mile at midnight, just so we could get the first ride of the year on Cyclogs before anyone else ^_^
Have decided there's no way I want to go out for another soaking, so am postponing ride until tomorrow - meeting up with friends so will have NO excuse to get out of riding

lovely 1030 ride for 4 of us, did 46k and got home about 3 mins before the rain started. Result. Off skiing for a week now, so no cycling. But cannot complain about that!

I did 30 miles of riding to and fro Home and Tower's bridge today on my new Specialized Tarmac Elite. Below is the picture

Happy New Year to everyone.

First ride of 2012 was my Commute home from work this morning. After a kip went out for a quick 20 km loop. All the chocolate and mince pies dont seem to have ruined me completely. ^_^

38 miles for me, met up with 3 others and had a nice social ride and a chat with a coffee & cake stop. Even the rain and a puncture didn't spoil the ride.

Happy New Year everyone. I did a very gentle 7 miles along the river Lagan and returned home with fresh scones for the family. Great way to start 2012.

Happy New Year to all.

40.16 miles for this year so far . Needless to say I had to escape the wind and rain of Ayrshire to do it. I just wasn't prepared to waste another day because of this weather, so bike in back of car and off to Moffat (Dumfriesshire) about 70 miles away. Cycled to Lockerbie, visited the Pan Am 103 memorial, then back to Moffat. And ....... it stayed dry :wahhey:.

Happy New Year everyone, lets hope we all stay safe in the coming year.

Rain stopped about 2.45 so got an hour in around Tods smaller roads on the tops, streams were running down the roads but not a drop fell from above.Dramatic skies as the light started to fail
at 4 oclock. Some nice hill climbing packed into just over an hour, aahhhh:thumbsup:

Not sure why it didn't rain here but not complaining, 30 miles with 435m of climb on fixed with Mrs TF, 14.8mph ave. Really pleased with the miles we are racking up over the holidays, what a difference to this time last year! I think best of all, no weight gained and able to eat what we like. Planning a forum ride towards the end of the month now.

Hissed it down most of the day - no ride, also spent 2-3 hours cooking lunch and washing up, and just had to make cup cakes (with daughter) - realise why I hate them - so much sugar and butter in them.

Happy new year Folks! I made an effort to go out for a wee ride after all. After last nights/ this mornings festivities and alcohol consumption I expected to not be able to move but I feel strangely OK and for once in a blue moon the roads were dry, so after much procrastination I popped out. The roads here were pretty quiet probably helped by the fact that I headed out of town. Before I got out of town though, I encountered the usual muppet passenger but at least he shouted 'Happy New Year' before calling me an @rse  If the forecast is to be believed its going to be icy, wet & windy the next few days so I'm glad now I made the effort.
