Well there it was for another year. Bike ride, bit of cricket on tv (why was it sooo hyped?) and a nice lunch from Mrs F ably supported by the kids. Homemade apricot tarte tatin is a thing of wonder i now realise but had a bit too much so will wobble off to bed nighty night Dads!

The children finally surfaced about half an hour ago, and presented cards and a beer selection.

My daughter has provided me with enough Leibniz biscuits to keep me going for a few weeks along with a cycling t shirt all the way from Budapest and a lovely card

This from Bolletta, which is a good job because her holiday train to Cornwall was cancelled so I ended up giving her a lift to her friends an hour away so she could travel with them.

Then to my parents and carpet-washer out as my dad, who has quite advanced Alzheimer‘s, had decided to make a bit of a mess. It’d make a solid Personal Matters thread if I was that way inclined.

So, hail dads! Even the broken ones.
