Happy birthday to both of you. Any nice pressies?

Mrs M gave me half towards a lovely Carbon Chorus crankset for my best bike, work unwittingly provided the balance:laugh::biggrin: in the form of motor mileage money:laugh::becool: from last weeks stage 2 driver refresher course :laugh: am now re-validated as a response driver Yeeehaaa:biggrin:

Got 70 squid from other family members what can I buy with it? any ideas?

Been over the field with the girls this morning, their school is closed today, for the first time during this current snowy spell, they are pleased, I helped build a snowman, and got pelted with snowballs, after foolishly challenging them and their two mates to a snowball fight!

Just had a huge wedge of choccy cake and coffee:thumbsup:

Fab, we had more snow overnight here in West Berkshire, much more than fell earlier in the week, good job I took the day off (as always) because according to news report this morning, part of my route to work, the A339 was blocked.

Nice pressies. Yes, I've been thinking about a breadmaker for a while. Any tips on makes & models peoples? I want to replace mine and kids sandwiches with homemade bread and rolls.

Hi Chris

We're breadmaking virgins here, but so far have turned-out 2 perfect basic bread loaves using the simple recipe in the manual. The kids descend on it like vulture, it's really nice!

Makewise, Panasonic are often rated highly. I've got a BBC Goodfood.cm article where it rates the Panasonic SD255 (£100) as the all-singing all-dancing ultimate (we have that one) and rate the Morphy Richards 48245 Compact (£44.) as the best budget. I'm certain it's more costly, but it's so simple and the results thus far are so scrummy. Many variety of breads can be made, lots of recipe's and lots of flours. The quality of flour is key! (Food scientis hat on:biggrin:).

Go for it, I'm certain you won't be dissapointed. I just ask myself why we took so long to get one!

Maybe start a thread...
