Handlebar bags and STI query?

Fossy was right of course, this bike is too nice for a bar bag...what on earth was I thinking of !

Ultegra sl 64 8 speed bar end shifters are what you need.

Sure you cant get a bar bag on anyway. I can get a Torpeak bar bag on my drop handle tourer with STI levers by routing the gear cables in front of and under the bar bag. May need slightly wider bars but that will be cheaper than new levers.

I used Carradice barbag with Tiagra 9 STI levers. I use the longest cables, uncut, to route around the bag. It works OK. I haven't tried using noodles to route down the sides, but many people do.
How well this works may depend on the width of your bag and bars.
