Lizard Skins 3.2mm. Had the 2,5mm a couple of years back which wore out fast, so hoping this is better. Looks and feels amazing, and for once I have managed to do a good job of fitting it.

Bit off topic but can I ask why people like thin tape? I can only think that people would prefer more padding and comfort? Even if you have small hands I mean would it not be better getting thinner bars and more padded tape ( this would even save weight)

Bars are generally a standard diameter, even oversize bars are the same diameter at the parts you hold (other than the tops).

I prefer minimal padding on both bar and gloves. It feels better... that's the only reason why.

I don't even have bar tape on the outriggers on my TT bike, just a bit of skateboard deck tape on the tops so sweaty hands don't slip.

Clarkes cork tape is decent, both out bikes have it, comfy and cheap.......less than £10

Last couple times I've used specialized cork which looks exactly the same for almost twice the price!

thanks for the heads up! i personally have specialized bar shapers that add abit of thickness comfort paddign and shape to te tops of my bars, and i use rather padded tape and preferably would like the thickest tape possible

You would think so but I just didn't like the padding . It was like gripping a sponge . The thinner tape plus my gloves is enough padding for me and feels nicer . I guess the bars are designed for comfort anyway .
Cloth tape every time for me, better grip more control even when wet Totally agree on the padded bars as a mate and me swapped over on a ride and his padded bars just felt weird but he didn't even notice my thin bar tape mind you the discussion of this got us labelled as "boring old farts" in the pub post ride.

Nice thick padded cork tape available in a number of colours for £1.54 a set including bar end plugs......

I have been using this for about 3 years now and it is hard wearing, comfortable and comes in generous measures. It has a good degree of stretch and is easy to apply. As it comes from China, I order it in small quantities as it takes about 2 weeks to arrive and I am frequently sorting people's bar tape for them.

Fizik Superlight without logos. Not the easiest to wrap but lasts forever. Cinelli cork ribbon is nice but only lasts about 3 months!
