What did Kovalainen do wrong?;) And (for a change:smile:) I don't remember Kimi complaining at all.

His "blocking" was even worse than Hamilton's. In reality a lot of people got the start wrong and it let a lot of the finishers have green arrows next to their name, so it wasn't all bad. Really looking forward to the last two races as Kimi usually finishes seasons strongly, Massa is now muppet or cheat and Hamilton, well it's traditional for McLaren as a team to mess up at least one race..

I don't think a lot of people did get the start wrong.

Hamilton certainly did, got out dragged, barged his team mate out of the way, locked up, missed the corner and took most of the front runners wide.

Well there's a surprise. Well that's a matter of opinion and the ferrari fanboy you are you're entitled to it, so I can't prove you wrong, unlike last time when you were claiming things that didn't happen .

My opinion of it is Kimi might not have made the corner anyway and it's not such a big deal when you consider about half the field failed to take the corner properly with a collision, so your comment seems a bit bizarre. What irks me is on the replay you can see Kimi squeeze Lewis and Lewis lock up and then Kimi reacting quickly seems to think oh crap I might not make the corner so I have to get a reasonable line on the edge of the track/overshoot. This plan doesn't come to fruition as Kovalainen blocks him. So I think all three of them are to blame. In anycase there may not have been a lock up on kimis but looking at his line and speed I'm far from convinced he'd make the corner. I thought it quite interesting that Massa perhaps foresaw some of this as he takes a completely different line.

As for the Bourdais incident. It sickens me. I hope Lewis does win in the end as it'll teach the cheats a lesson.

So it's not just about F1 that you make sweeping statements that are wrong.

Well, I'd have said "sickens" is a bit strong, but yes, I'm baffled as to why they penalized Bourdais for that. It didn't look to me like he did anything wrong.

He most certainly did, he prevented a ferrari driver who is going for the world championship from gaining an extra point. At this time of the year, this is an especially serious crime as 1pt could be crucial in a tie breaker which of course a ferrari driver would win.

Can I just ask, how many of you have actually raced a car in any class of the sport?;)

I used to race karts when I was little. I haven't driven competitively for decades though. Anyway, one can follow the racing without having done it!:becool::becool:

Of course, but it just amuses me how many armchair critics are having a go at one of the greatest talents for decades.

Remember, he's only 22 and very nearly one the F1 champs at his first attempt. Not even Schumi, Senna, Prost, Mansell etc did that!

And if you've never experienced the melee of the first corner in a race you can never imagine what it's like!
