Can't really blame them.
There's nothing legally binding about them taking payment, if there has been a pricing error. If they honour it, it's just for the customer relations.
I got a set of mudguards last year for £3.99 RRP of £20somthing, so I'm not too disappointed.

Yes, didn't want them charging the card for the full whammy

Very true, but if they where going to honor it, then a lifetime supply of tubes chains and lube for free was too good to pass up
